Default Upsale Technique
So I was at a restaurant for lunch today. By default, there were no jugs of regular water and glasses on any table. Along with my order, they gave me a bottle of packaged water. There was no other option than to buy that bottle.
If you can package your product or create a condition where the client has no other option than to make a small purchase of an additional product, your business will benefit tremendously.
Apple does it too I guess. I stumbled upon this phenomenon today and would like to call it the “Default Upsale Technique”
